Judge Judy Sheindlin wasn’t getting tough on crime when she recently said there are no second chances. The popular TV judge known for her no-nonsense approach and hard-earned wisdom, was instead reminding a lucky group of high school graduates in New Mexico to be ready in life. The old saying goes you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Judge Judy knows the truth of it — and she wanted the 17-year-olds in the audience to know it too. It’s fitting Judge Judy was the commencement speaker — because commencement, even though it comes at the end of school, means beginning.
“Because you never know in life how a chance meeting can change somebody’s impression of themselves or can leave you with a thought that gives you a good feeling about yourself that can last forever,” Judge Judy said.
