Police officer Matthew Kohr received a free cup of coffee at a local Starbucks in Raleigh and is now suing the company after he spilled it and got burned. He believes he should be compensated $50,000 for burns, blisters and emotional damage caused by the spill in 2012. The hot coffee spilled on his lap.
According to FoxNews, “Kohr claims the incident caused such severe stress that it activated his Crohn’s disease, which resulted in surgery to remove part of his intestine.”
