It’s hard to remain the World’s Sexiest Woman evidently. Fashions change–ebb and flow, you know? Lad mag FHM has been counting down the top 100 Sexiest Women for years now. It’s a terribly prejudiced list, with a narrow and shallow idea of “sexy”–neither Helen Mirren nor Joan Didion, for example, are on it. But it is a lad mag after all. And it’s lads who vote. Jennifer Lawrence, the Hunger Games girl with big ambitions, was #1 last year and she almost held on–placing #3 for 2015. 27-year-old British model-actress Michelle Keegan (Coronation Street) hopped up just one place to this year’s #1. Just in time, too, because on this list when you’re 28 you’re pretty much toast!
A million votes decided the thing, which ain’t much considering Kendall Jenner (#3) has more than 10 million followers on Twitter. (Come on, Kendall, get out the vote!). Now we have to wait an entire year to see who’s sexy next year–it hardly seems fair. Early money’s on someone curvy from a superhero movie.
