A huge silverback gorilla charged the pen where he’s held captive in a Nebraska Zoo, cracking the glass wall barrier and terrifying a family. It was all captured on video by Kevin Cave, who posted it online. You can see the gorilla ready itself from about 20 yards away and charge the glass at sprinter’s speed, lunging at the barrier and smashing it. The family ran away in terror–obviously.
The male gorillas in the pen are prone to “skirmishes,” according to CNN. The charging, glass-smashing gorilla’s name is Kijoto. He’s 20-years-old and weighs 375 pounds. He also–and it doesn’t mention this on the zoo’s website–doesn’t like being filmed.
