Slipknot guitarist Mick Thompson was stabbed in the head during a knife fight with his brother in Clive, Iowa. Both men were taken to the hospital with injuries.
Slipknot singer Corey Taylor tweeted that Thompson is recovering. Slipknot, which has won eight Grammys, is scheduled to begin a national tour in April. It released its latest album, The Gray Chapter, in October. The band usually performs wearing masks, which might have helped. Mick, at 41, is the older brother. His assailant and brother Andrew is 35.
