On The Mindy Project, before Mindy (Mindy Kaling) gets the chance to tell Danny (Chris Messina) her big news, Danny’s father (Alan Castellano, Cheers) and his half-sister “Little Danny” (Madison Moellers) show up for an unexpected visit. Danny’s mother (Rhea Perlman, Cheers) has everyone over to her house for one really awkward family reunion. The Mindy Project airs Tuesday at 9:30pm on Fox.
The actors who play Danny’s parents are well-known, having starred as husband and wife on Cheers. (Who can forget Carla and Nick?) But what about Little Danny? The 11-year-old actress Madison Moellers should look familiar, too. She’s had roles on The Mentalist, It’s Always Sunny in Philadellphia, and she nailed the role of the transgender character Molly Milkovich on the Showtime series Shameless.
