Ballroom dance champion Mary Murphy was not asked to return as a judge on the Fox dance competition/reality TV show So You Think You Can Dance. She had been with the show for 11 seasons. “I’m saddened of course to be released from my contract,” she said in a statement.
Murphy, who acted as a dance double for Julia Roberts in the movie Something to Talk About, isn’t leaving Hollywood anytime soon. She runs a dance studio and organizes a Los Angeles dance competition, the Hollywood Dancesport Championships. The next competition will be held October 29-November 1, 2015.
