The University of Houston football team hunted like Cougars in the 4th quarter of the 2015 Armed Forces Bowl, erasing a 25-point 4th quarter deficit against the Pittsburgh Panthers. And it wasn’t as if Pitt handed Houston the ball either. The first two scoring drives of the comeback were 86 and 83-yard drives.
It was a great night for David Gibbs, the new interim head coach of Houston who took over when Tony Levine was fired just last month. He may get to keep the job. Upward trends are attractive–and after scoring a total of six points in the first three quarters, Houston banged in 29 in the 4th quarter. That’s upward trending. Final score: Houston 35, Pittsburgh 34.
