U2 lead singer Bono was on a private plane traveling from Dublin to Berlin when its rear door fell off. The Learjet 60 was in-air but passengers weren’t endangered because the lost door was for the luggage compartment. The plan landed safely, no one was hurt. Whether all the suitcases made it not revealed.
An official with the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation said authorities don’t understand why the door flew off. “There can be many reasons for this incident,” the official, Germout Freitag said. He also said it could take a year for authorities to complete their final report. No word on where the door landed.
