Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry (Monster’s Ball), who straightens her hair, doesn’t want her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry touching the hair of their 6-year-old daughter, Nahla. Berry took Aubry to court this week to settle the hair disagreement.
Aubry was having the child’s hair straightened and highlighted when she was in his care. Berry’s attorneys argued that Aubry was “trying to make Nahla appear less African-American. Aubry is white, Berry is half white, half black. The judge ruled that, in the future, neither parent can change Nahla’s natural hair texture or color. This kind of story in the media begs for a photograph of the 6-year-old. But it seems in this case mom really does have her daughter’s best interests at heart–Halle Berry has fought to pass a paparazzi bill aimed at protecting the privacy of the children of public figures.
