“America’s Team,” the Dallas Cowboys, will play the Jacksonville Jaguars far from home in London this weekend. So naturally they created a hashtag about the game, thinking to combine the team name with where they’re playing. Simple enough. Though some fans–fans of other teams mostly–are gleefully reading the hashtag differently than the Cowboys media people intended.
Cowboys plus UK (United Kingdom)? Easy to arrive at #cowboysUK, which they did. But say you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan, like Philly TV producer Aaron Inver. You might see the emphasis in the SUK.
The Cowboys have decided on a hashtag for their game overseas. It’s #CowboysUK. At least they know it!
