“This question gives me no pleasure, Mr. Cosby,” NPR radio man Scott Simon said in his interview with comedian Bill Cosby, before proceeding to ask Cosby to respond to the resurfaced allegations that Cosby is a sexual predator.
What was supposed to be a dialogue turned into a monologue until the subject changed. “I’m in the news business,” Simon continued. “I have to ask the question. Do you have any response to those charges? You’re shaking your head no. There are people who love you who might want to hear from you about this. I want to give you the chance…” Cosby continued to shake his head, refusing to come to his own defense. It was, quite literally, radio silence. Cosby was in the studio for the interview with his wife Camille.
