Apple doesn’t need Black Friday, thank you very much. Consumers are going to put big red ribbons around Macs, iPads, Apple watches and iPhones anyway. While people stampede Walmart and Best Buy to get new phones and a few extra inches on their new flat screens this Black Friday, the Apple Store will look just like it always does: busy and sleek. It’ll be festive, but it won’t be cheap.
Are there any deals at all? Apple is planning to give out gift cards with high-end purchases like iPhones. But the Apple gift cards aren’t redeemable at the Apple Store. They’re for use at iTunes, the Mac App Store, the App Store or for iBooks. The cards range from a $25 value when you buy Beats headphones to $100 gift card when you buy a Mac. Third party retailers like Walmart will run some Black Friday deals on Apple products.
