Sadie Robertson Writes Motivational Book For Teens

Duck Dynasty reality TV star Sadie Robertson is the 17-year-old contestant on Dancing With the Stars. She’s been charming the socks off the judges and viewers at home. On the dance floor, with her professional dance partner Mark Ballas, she’s a natural.

Sadie is an enterprising young woman. She’s been designing a dress line with celebrity fashion designer Sherri Hill – Sadie Robertson Live Original — and now Sadie can add author to her resume. Her book, “Live Original: How the Duck Commander Teen Keeps It Real and Stays True to Her Values,” is being released this week. It’s a motivational kind of book. Here’s the second paragraph of Chapter One: “When I was in junior high school, I learned a song called ‘Garbage in, Garbage Out.’ I liked it because of the words, and so I played the song for my eighth-grade Bible class and gave a speech about it.” Sadie taps the “garbage in, garbage out” principle throughout the book to encourage teens to fill their minds with positive thoughts.
