Dozens of school children were attacked by a swarm of bees near Fort Worth, Texas, after a child inadvertently disturbed a nest during a soccer game in gym class. Four sixth-grade children were taken to the hospital, according to Reuters.
Earlier this month a “massive swarm of bees” attacked people in Arizona, killing one and putting another person in the hospital. An Arizona fire captain reported that one victim was stung more than 100 times. The men had disturbed a hive in the attic of a house they were working on. The 90-year-old man who lived there was unaware that he shared his home with over 800,000 bees living in a ten-year-old hive more than four feet wide.
