Burger King has doubled down on its Black Burger–the company is now adding a delicious looking (not!) black cheese. The “Kuro Burger” (“Black Burger”) is popular in Japan. (This is the third time Burger King has tried it out.) The black buns come from using bamboo charcoal. That’s how they get the cheese black too, according to NariNari.
The burgers go on sale for a limited time only later this month in Japan, where orange, apparently, is NOT the new black. Black is the new black. There is also black ketchup. Black food is quite chic when you think about it–just ask a caviar lover. You may not find one at Burger King, but who knows? Sloppy eaters should delight also: the black ketchup is far less noticeable on most clothing, especially now that it’s fall.
