Grammy Award-winning singer Marc Anthony (Vivir Mi Vida) was in Colombia for the groundbreaking ceremony of his second orphanage, Hogar de Paso (translated “Step home”). The orphanage will be home to about 200 homeless children. It will be completed by February 2015, when Anthony returns to the city of Barranquilla for its Carnaval.
In April of this year, Anthony was on hand at the ribbon cutting ceremony of his first orphanage, Niños de Cristo (Children of Christ), in La Romana Dominican Republic. With business partner Henry Cardenas, Marc Anthony co-founded the non-profit organization Maestro Cares Foundation in January 2012.
