The Kind Campaign was started in 2009 to combat bullying–especially girl-on-girl bullying. It is a non-profit organization founded by Lauren Parsekian. Parsekian is married to 3-time Emmy winner Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), who mentioned the charitable organization during his acceptance speech at the 66th Annual Emmy Awards on NBC.
“When words are both true and kind they can change the world” is one of the Kind Campaign’s mottos, a statement attributed to the Buddha. Following this idea, the Kind Campaign solicits not just funds to help educate people and eliminate bullying, but also stories. The organization believes communication is essential to change. The Kind Campaign has its roots in storytelling. It originally grew out of a documentary film made by the founders called Finding Kind.
