In the 2008 Batman film The Dark Knight, the late Heath Ledger played The Joker who plotted one of the most memorable bank robberies in movie history. Clown masks, a crazy arsenal of weapons and a getaway school bus were icing on the cake. Six years later and The Joker is still a hot commody. This month Hot Toys and Sideshow Collectibles is releasing a sixth scale Joker (Bank Robber Version 2.0) with multiple accessories and a newly sculpted interchangeable Bozo masked head. The only thing missing is the school bus.
Heath Ledger won an Academy Award posthumously for the role. Some say “it was his greatest role, which came at the greatest personal cost.” Ledger’s father, Kim, shares the diary his son kept while filming The Dark Knight in the German documentary, Too Young To Die. Ledger was 28 years old when found dead in New York.
