In its season opener No. 1 Florida State beat Oklahoma State 37-31. Next week the Seminoles face The Citadel Bulldogs, who just got rolled over by the Coast Carolina University Chanticleers (31-16), at home. The Citadel head coach Mike Houston was hired (from Lenoir-Rhyne) in January 2014. While he led Lenoir-Rhyne to a 13-2 record, he hasn’t seen the likes of Florida State or their coach Jimbo Fisher yet. Fisher led Florida State to the national championship in 2013.
The Citadel Bulldogs, with its 15 freshmen and new coach, will travel to Tallahassee to take on 2013 Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston and the rest of the Seminoles on September 6.
