You no longer have to worry about your kids eating LEGOs. At last, someone’s invented an edible version. Japanese artist and designer Akihiro Mizuuchi has come up with four chocolate flavors of brick: milk, white, dark and, er, pink. And they’re as useful as they are delicious. Of course, they might melt in your hands before you’ve finished building anything.
Chocolate LEGOs imitations have been around for a while–if you’ve been to a kid’s party in the last decade you’ve taken home a little bag of them. But previous delicious LEGO-like treats weren’t functional. Mizuuchi’s project promises to add function to the form. Of course none of these things–functional or not–can be legally called LEGOS. But as Justice Potter Stewart said, with some things we know it when we see it.
