The Ice Bucket Challenge got its coldest re-challenge yet–from a pissed-off hip-hop artist. Rapper, actor and biz mogul 50 Cent didn’t mince words when he said “F*&% the bucket of ice” and threw a different kind of challenge over to boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. Instead of challenging Mayweather to cool off under an ice bucket, 50 Cent challenged the boxer to read aloud an entire page of “any Harry Potter” book.
The former friends have become bitter enemies. A few years ago while Mayweather was in jail, 50 Cent claims he put the incarcerated pugilist’s house in order–and single-handedly set up Mayweather’s company The Money Team Promotions. 50 Cent says Mayweather still owes him serious loot for the effort. And it was something that Mayweather couldn’t have done for himself, obviously, because he can’t read–at least that’s what 50 Cent implies. Because 50 Cent is careful with his money–in a rapper style, anyway–and if he thought Mayweather could read, he wouldn’t have offered to donate $750,000 to a charity of his choice, just for reading a page about a wizard.
