Bradley Cooper gained 40 lbs. for his next role in American Sniper. Directed by Clint Eastwood, Cooper will play Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, the sniper who claimed to be the most lethal in American military history with 160 “confirmed” kills. After serving four tours in the second Iraq war and being honorably discharged, Kyle wrote the New York Times bestseller “American Sniper.” In 2013, Kyle was shot and killed at a shooting range by a fellow veteran who is believed to suffer from post traumatic stress disorder.
This week a jury will decide if former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura will receive millions in damages from the Chris Kyle estate. Ventura says Kyle made up an account of punching Ventura in a California bar in 2006 after he said Ventura–a former Navy man himself–made remarks insulting Navy SEALs. IMDB doesn’t show a Ventura character–no one named governor or Ventura–on the cast of American Sniper. But the incident could be fictionalized.
