A heartbroken father posted an extraordinary request on Reddit and the results are amazing. Here’s Nathan Steffel’s request to the Reddit community–which you may find painful to read: “My daughter recently passed away after a long battle in the children’s hospital. Since she was in the hospital her whole life, we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?”
There followed an outpouring of condolences and highly-skilled Photoshop work from multiple Redditors. Steffel told The Today Show that he received far more than he asked for: “What I received was a whole lot of love and support from complete strangers.” The baby girl was on the waiting list for a liver transplant when she died, just six weeks old. Here is one photoshopped response, done by funkybrewster. To see the whole chain of request and response on Reddit, click here.
