Pauley Perrette, the strikingly raven-haired actress who stars as Abby Sciuto on the hit crime drama NCIS, is warning her fans about the dangers of hair dye. Perrette, who is naturally blonde, has reversed Hollywood stereotypes and the prevalent “blondes have more fun” wisdom, finding huge success on the small screen with jet black hair–her signature. (Well, besides the cool spiderweb neck tattoo–equally fake and also a signature.)
Perrette tweeted about having a severe reaction to her dye that put her in the hospital. Her half-million Twitter followers got a blurry close-up of Perrette in a hospital gown, face swelled up from her allergic reaction to the dye. It’s the second time she’s had a bad reaction in the past six months and she’s looking into natural dyes. According to CBS-LA she may even wear a wig–rather than go back to blonde.
