Andrew Rector, the man who was caught on camera sleeping during a Yankee game, is suing ESPN for $10 million for defamation and mental anguish. He claims TV announcers Dan Shulman and John Kruck called him “fatty, unintelligent, (and) stupid,” among other things. His lawyer is Valentine Okwara of Jamaica, Queens – Mets territory.
Also recently caught on camera sleeping is former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. While traveling most often in coach these days, Mr. Romney has been the subject of candid photos by fellow fliers, even while asleep (see photo below). The crew on that flight should be pleased that Romney kept his clothes on. During the 2012 campaign trail, he revealed on daytime TV’s Live! With Kelly and Michael that he likes wearing “as little as possible” to bed. (Hey, someone in the audience asked the question.)
