Rapper and hip-hop artist Flavor Flav, apparently acting out lyrics of his songs “Bring the Noise” and “Fight the Power,” kept things so real that the Las Vegas police wrote the reality TV star two fireworks-related citations. Police Lt. Ken Romaine told the Las Vegas Review-Journal his team found more than 100 lbs. of leftover fireworks after being called by irate neighbors who have been subjected to the Flav’s boom-boom parties since 2009. Flav (born William Jonathan Drayton, Jr.), best known for his long-standing membership in politically charged hip-hop group Public Enemy, is rumored to have set off thousands of pounds of fireworks during the pre-bust hours.
Perhaps time and experience have tempered 55-year-old Flav, as he assured neighbors he won't be troubling them again next year, and will be taking the party away from his home. Not far from Las Vegas, the mysterious Area 51 might be a better location. After all, many, many nuclear devices have been tested in the vast, insanely secure range. So long as Flav turns in the ubiquitous clock dangling from his neck, everything will be fine.
