The two most iconic contemporary animated families are set for a mash-up come September 28 on Fox–and a tease hit Comic Con this weekend like it was Godzilla v King Kong. Well, if Godzilla and Kong were hilarious. And if Springfield were ‘Skull Island’. It’s going to be an oversize episode: the Griffiths of Family Guy end up in the Simpsons’ Springfield where they are “greeted warmly by the hepatitis-y Simpsons,” according to EW.
The Family Guy panel at Comic Con screened the five-minute teaser from the episode. And Fox released images of Homer Simpson hanging out with Peter Griffin (there are donuts) and Bart and Stewie kicking around together. Every detail is fun–even finding out the relative sizes of the characters!
