You know you’re popular when a band writes a song for you. Ignacio Oreamuno is the executive director of New York’s Art Directors Club, where they celebrate creative commercial genius (famous and soon-to-be-famous). He is also the subject of a song and video performed by the duo Riot !n Paris. The lyrics, a brief biography of sorts, are based on info and photos from Oreamuno’s Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. Sample: “Always in Miami – the school or city/ Man I know celebs, I got pix with Hello Kitty”
A mover and shaker in the advertising biz since 2001, (hey, he’s only 34), Oreamuno is frequently on the road promoting the Club and his entrepreneurial baby, IHAVEANIDEA, an online recruiting resource for copywriters and art directors to land their dream jobs at ad agencies. Oreamuno was born to inspire and advocate; chances are he’s a descendant of the popular former president of his homeland Costa Rica, Romualdo Ricardo Jiménez Oreamuno, who was elected into office three times.
