Season 11 of The Voice has begun with its new coaches – Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus. They replaced Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera. While no one seems to have a problem with “Girl on Fire” Alicia Keys, hundreds of fans are voicing their disdain for Cyrus. On The Voice official Facebook page, many fans claim (yeah, right) that they’re not watching the show because of Cyrus. Ed Horgan wrote: “Will not watch this season, Cyrus is absolutely horrible!!!” Here’s a sample of other like-minded comments:
The Voice follower Chrizzy Fathke encourages other fans to “keep spewing hate at miley…it’s the only way we can make sure she isn’t welcome back.” That said, Betty Gish makes a good point: “I don’t understand how all these people say they are not watching but comment on Miley and her outfit. I have to say it is ugly but she is a good coach. Everybody is entitled to their opinion.” The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
