Dwight Littlejohn is the inventor of Total Tie Keep. It’s a strip of fabric that buttons on to a shirt and its two loops holds the back of a tie in place without binding or stretching or having to use a tie clip or pin. Littlejohn has a patent on the product and is selling them on his website for $6.99 each, or $19.99 for a four pack in different colors (white, blue, grey and black).
[Shark Tank Quiz — Think You Know Your Sharks?]
Littlejohn will pitch Total Tie Keep on Shark Tank on January 5 (9pm, ABC). It’s going to be a hard sell — investors Mark Cuban and Robert Herjavec don’t wear ties and Daymond John tends to wear flashy tie pins. Littlejohn might want to zero on Kevin O’Leary who is rarely seen without his signature black tie. But then again, Mr. Wonderful tends to keep his jacket buttoned-up.
