Former NJ Governor Chris Christie continues his full frontal personal assault on GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, with the two men trading barbs and insults on social media and Christie begging for an in-person brawl.
Donald Trump, the king of keyboard warriors.

Donny, you got so much to say, why don’t you say it directly to my face on the debate stage?
Or are you a coward? pic.twitter.com/UVPcTh1Yi3
Christie isn’t asking for a steel cage match, like that proposed between business tycoons Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg — just a vituperative political debate with the likes of Mike Pence and Nikki Haley standing by and trying to get a word in edgewise.
Besides, unlike with the potential Zuck-Elon pugilism, there is little clamor to see Trump and Christie in these outfits…
But even though Christie won’t have to hit the gym to get into fighting shape the way Zuckerberg has, he still needs time to prepare, he admits. Because while he knows his policy positions and where he believes improvements need to be made in America, it’s hard to be ready — as the tweet below shows — to fight Donald Trump.
Boxing icon Mike Tyson famously said that everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face and, like Tyson’s opponents (especially Holyfield, see below), Trump’s opponents never know what they are going to face.
To properly prepare for Trump and his deck of wild cards requires a high degree of readiness, according to Christie. The former Governor admits, for instance, that he will need more time to figure out how to respond to the Trump post below, calling Trump’s rant about the Bidens, crackheads, and Jack Smith “so stupid I have no clue what to do with it.”
This is so stupid I have no clue what to do with it. But donate to get me on the debate stage and maybe I’ll have something by then….https://t.co/LRga8vxF51 pic.twitter.com/IhgEbLciFg

With the share, Christie implores his followers to “get me on the debate stage and maybe I’ll have something by then….” That wish seems to have been granted, as Christie announced this week that his campaign has met the 40,000 donor threshold required to win an invitation to participate in the GOP presidential debates.
