Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank (Boys Don’t Cry, Million Dollar Baby) has been in the news recently as the 48-year-old actress just gave birth to twins (a boy and a girl!). She captioned the photo below, of her holding her two babies, “Posting from pure heaven.”
Get ready to see more of the Hollywood star: she will appear next on the big screen in the drama Ordinary Angels, which is based on a real story.
Swank plays Sharon Steves, a small town hairdresser in Kentucky. When she learns about young blue collar widower Ed Schmitt (Alan Ritchson), who’s struggling financially with medical bills and his two young daughters, Sharon knocks on his door with an envelope of cash and an offer to help. Soon after, when Ed’s little girl needs an emergency liver transplant, Sharon makes the impossible happen.
When Swank shared the sneak peek video above, she was flooded with praise from her fans and famous friends. More than one fan admitted that the trailer gave them “Full body chills” and “made me cry already.” Both singer Jewel and soon-to-be-mom actress Lindsay Lohan (Mean Girls, The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday) wrote: “Can’t wait!!!”
Ordinary Angels will be released in theaters on October 13, 2023.
