Hollywood star Molly Ringwald is best known for her teenage characters in John Hughes movies including Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, and Sixteen Candles. She currently stars in the CW hit series Riverdale (as Mary Andrews) with Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes, among others.

When Ringwald revealed the throwback photo below, of her in a crop top and MTV jeans with Hole singer and widow of Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love, Ringwald captioned it: “In 2001 MTV gave Courtney Love 24 hours of live airtime -maybe more. I was doing Cabaret at the time and I stopped by after the show to be her guest. The look of sheer terror in my eyes.”
Get ready to see more of Ringwald: she’s playing the late socialite Joanne Carson, the second wife of late night talk show host Johnny Carson, in the upcoming season of Feud: Capote’s Women.
After her divorce from Carson in 1972, Joanne Carson befriended writer Truman Capote, who found refuge in her home in Los Angeles, where Capote died in 1984. Tom Hollander plays Capote.
