Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has experienced multiple ups and downs on Twitter, getting blocked and then reinstated — and then more recently temporarily restricted for comments deemed too controversial for the platform.
But Greene is live on Twitter now and promoting Twitter owner Elon Musk‘s views on what kind of punishment should be meted out for parents and doctors treating children with procedures that result in the child having been “sterilized” before the age of 18.
Musk tweeted: “Any parent or doctor who sterilizes a child before they are a consenting adult should go to prison for life.”
I agree.

That’s why I introduced the Protect Children’s Innocence Act that makes it a felony to perform gender affirming care on children under the age of 18. https://t.co/R3PhnqWko8
Greene responded and shared Musk’s opinion, adding “I agree. That’s why I introduced the Protect Children’s Innocence Act that makes it a felony to perform gender affirming care on children under the age of 18.”
In its current state, Greene’s bill actually doesn’t go as far as Musk suggests, with her proposed punishment reading that it: “Charges any person who knowingly performed gender-affirming care on a minor with a Class C Felony (10 to 25 years in prison or maximum $250,000 fine).”
