Two-time Oscar Award-winning actress Hilary Swank (Boys Don’t Cry, Million Dollar Baby) is back in the spotlight.
The Hollywood star plays the protagonist — a disgraced New York City investigative reporter working the metro desk in Anchorage — in the new ABC crime series Alaska Daily. Trailer below.
In real life, the 48-year-old actress also announced she’s pregnant with twins. See cute video below.
Get ready to see more of Hilary: she will appear next on the big screen in Ordinary Angels.
Ordinary Angels is inspired by the true story of hairdresser Sharon Stevens (Swank), who in the 1990s “single-handedly rallied an entire community to help a widowed father save the life of his critically ill young daughter.”
According to the casting workbook, all actors auditioning for the movie were told to “prepare your Kentucky accent – this true story is set in Kentucky and accents will be very important.” Ordinary Angels is expected to be released in Fall/Winter 2023.
Alaska Daily airs Thursdays at 10 pm on ABC, right after Grey’s Anatomy at 9 pm and Station 19 at 8 pm.
