On Season 2 of Cartel Crew, former Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Salomé Jackson (aka Betty Idol) makes her debut. She promises to show off a different side of herself and her family on the Miami-based reality TV show.
“I’m going to let people know who I really am,” Salomé says. Her dad, who is currently incarcerated, is from Colombia and was “part of the Cartel life.” (Her mom is from Mississippi.) Her parents met in Tampa and then moved to Houston, where Salomé was born.
Salomé says she’s super close with her father, that she’s a daddy’s little girl, but admits that her father is “not happy with” her being on the show. “He cursed me out,” she smiles and laughs. But she says she tried to explain to him that she’s trying to make a different life for them because “I don’t want him doing what he used to do.”
Before her big debut on Cartel Crew, Salomé wore a neon string bikini while walking down the streets of Miami and stopped to get a lemur jump on her head. You read that right. Watch video below.
Cartel Crew airs Mondays at 9 pm on VH1, right after Love & Hip Hop Hollywood at 8 pm.
