In the incendiary rap battle that grew out of Portland Trail Blazers guard Dame Lillard‘s comment that Shaquille O’Neal was not a real rapper, the temperature keeps rising. Shaq released a half-hiliarious, half-pissed rejoinder — nearly four minutes of ego-boasting performed by a Shaq puppet. (See below.)
But Lillard, who is really the best pro athlete rapper in the game, responded big time with a track “Reign Reign Go Away” and he slayed the Big Diesel.
Lillard was surprised that Shaq came out swinging like that — they could have done something together he says, “passed the torch” — but after Shaq declared war, Lillard — AKA Dame D.O.L.L.A — ripped the man up. Dame tells Shaq “loved you when you were in Beast mode, flexing ain’t really your thing bro.”
And then: “We both could be workin’ at Kinkos / And Kobe won you them rings though.” He also says Dwyane Wade/Flash gave Shaq his Miami Heat ring.
This is gonna keep being great. You’re up Shaq!
