On Basketball Wives, while former LA Lakers coach Byron Scott takes a step forward in his relationship with son Thomas Scott (Kristen’s husband), Shaunie O’Neal is preaching on Instagram. She’s reminding fans that “there are things and people God has blocked that were meant to destroy, harm and set you back,” and suggests that everyone lives their lives with joy and thankfulness.
Shaunie’s post received several “Amens” including one from Marvin Bagley, Jr., a former pro baller who’s now an AAU coach and father of Marvin Bagley III, the 6’11” power forward who was selected with the second overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2018 NBA draft — after playing college basketball at Duke for one year. The 20-year-old NBA star is also a rapper who goes by the name MB3FIVE.
Fun fact: Marvin Bagley Jr. married Tracy Caldwell, daughter of retired NBA player and 1964 Olympic gold medalist Jumpin’ Joe Caldwell.
Basketball Wives airs Wednesdays at 8 pm on VH1, right before Black Ink Crew at 9 pm, and Black Ink Crew: Compton at 10 pm. [Watch It Again: Stream VH1 shows anytime — VH1 app is free]
