Steph Curry looked at times like he was a lone Warrior in Game 3. The crowd was behind him, sure. But when he looked around the court instead of Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Kevin Looney and his normal crew, Curry saw jerseys with names like McKinnie, Cook and Jerebko. Fact: it is easier to win NBA games with those first three guys than with those last three guys. The Warriors lost 123-109, despite Curry’s 43 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. (It was Curry’s highest scoring career effort in the Finals.)

Rockets fans were like, see? Because their scoring sensation James Harden always plays without the likes of Thompson and Durant, and Harden puts up those Curry kind of numbers routinely. And whereas Curry looked exhausted (rightly) after his effort, Harden fans say that’s just a regular night for James. For realz? After Curry’s performance, he deserves no clowning or hating, but maybe Harden should get a little more respect? (The Rockets, btw, have been eliminated by the Warriors in four of the last five seasons.)
Steph got double teamed and literally couldn’t even get a shot up…
James Harden got doubled for 6 games and hung 35-7-6 on 60% TS on the most stacked roster of all time
