On The Goldbergs episode “Mom Trumps Willow,” Adam (Sean Giambrone) decides to see the movie Willow starring Val Kilmer instead of spending Mother’s Day with Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey). Now he’s desperate to find a way to get back into her smothering good graces. He finds it at the photography studio of Paul Sirochman, the same guy who tried to make Adam a film star in the 2017 episode “So Swayze It’s Crazy.” When the mother and son pose together, things get awkward.
[Willow was written by George Lucas, directed by Ron Howard]
Paul Sirochman is portrayed by former child star R.D. Robb. He made his debut on the big screen in the 1983 classic holiday movie A Christmas Story as Schwartz. He’s also known for his roles in Matilda (Roy), and The Brady Bunch Movie (Charlie Anderson), among others. As a producer, he’s known for his work on the Freeform TV series Siren. The Goldbergs airs Wednesdays at 8 pm on ABC, right before its spin-off Schooled.
