In The Fix episode “The Wire,” Maya (Robin Tunney) convinces DJ Día Briseño to wear a wire during a rendezvous with Sevvy Johnson (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). Maya believes Sevvy killed Jessica Meyer and she’s determined to prove it. It won’t be easy. Sevvy’s attorney Ezra Wolf (Scott Cohen) is working to create an alibi for his client and he sends his henchman, Buck Neal (Robert Wisdom), to pay a visit to Riv (Marc Blucas) at his ranch.
Día Briseño is portrayed by Vannessa Vasquez. The Texan-born beauty is known for her roles on East Los High (Camila Barrios, for which she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2015), and the 2017 TV mini-series Trap Plane (Jennifer Vergara), among others. Vasquez will appear next in the drama/romance Prescience with Oscar nominee Eric Roberts and former Dallas star Linda Gray. The Fix airs Mondays at 10 pm on ABC, right after American Idol.
