The protagonist of the Hallmark Channel Hall of Fame movie Love Takes Flight is Dr. Lizzie Bowman (Nikki DeLoach), a divorced single mom who’s juggling raising her five-year-old daughter Quinn (Skylar Olivia Flanagan) and her career as administrator of the quaint town’s hospital. She doesn’t think she has time for romance again, until she meets a very handsome pilot named Charlie (Jeff Hephner).

The whole movie is filmed in the spectacular coastal city of Savannah, Georgia. The oldest city in the state of Georgia is known for its manicured parks, horse-drawn carriages, antebellum architecture, and its overall Southern charm and hospitality.
The music in Love Takes Flight makes the movie special, too. Dionne Warwick’s “What the World Needs Now (is Love),” Tyler Hilton’s “Stay,” and Nilu’s “Are You With Me” are featured. The movie’s star, Nikki DeLoach, says filming Love Takes Flight has been “one of the most special experiences.” Love Takes Flight premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, April 27 at 9 pm.
