On the third night of Season 2 American Idol auditions, judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie meet singer Ashton Gill. During her audition, her friend Laine Hardy plays acoustic guitar. When not singing or hanging out with Laine, Ashton is either studying at Southeastern Louisiana University to become a nurse or working as a model. Sometimes, she gets to do two of those things at the same time!
In the video below, Ashton is modeling a stunning wedding dress for Ashley Renee Bridal, a bridal shop in her hometown of Livingston, Louisiana, and singing “Hallelujah” for those in attendance at the fashion show. Fun fact: Gill isn’t the only SLU student competing on American Idol this season, so is marketing major Kristen Calfee!
