The Lifetime TV movie Victoria Gotti: My Father’s Daughter tells the story of Victoria Gotti, the daughter of mob boss John Gotti aka The Teflon Don. Victoria Gotti is the executive producer of the movie and says on-camera that her life “was far from easy but I fought to stay strong.”
In 1992, John Gotti was convicted of five murders, conspiracy to commit murder, racketeering, obstruction of justice, tax evasion, illegal gambling, extortion, and loansharking. He was sentenced to life in prison, where he died of throat cancer in 2002 at the age of 61. In Victoria Gotti: My Father’s Daughter, Victoria is portrayed by Chelsea Frei. John Gotti is portrayed by Emmy Award-winning actor Maurice Benard.

Maurice Benard is best known for his role as Sonny Corinthos in the daytime soap opera General Hospital. He’s also well recognized for his roles in the Jennifer Lawrence film Joy (as Ridge), in the 1991 TV movie Lucy & Desi: Before the Laughter (as Desi Arnaz), and on All My Children as Nico Kelly. Benard will appear next on the big screen in the 2019 film Equal Standard about NYPD officers with Ice-T, Robert Clohessy (Sid on Blue Bloods), and rapper/actor Treach. (Benard plays the Captain).
