On the Magnum, P.I. episode “Murder Is Never Quiet”, Magnum (Jay Hernandez) is hired by Brianna Healy (guest star Paula Newsome). She wants Magnum to prove that her son Josh (Wavvy Jonez) didn’t kill his girlfriend — and to do it in 24 hours before her son accepts a plea deal. Meanwhile, U.S. Marines Rick (Zachary Knighton), TC (Stephen Hill) and Kenny “Shammy” Shamberg try to recover stolen appliances that were donated to wounded veteran Brad Fullerton (guest star Bryan Anderson).

Shammy is portrayed by actor Christopher Thornton. He’s known for his roles on Vice Principals (Mr. Milner), Rules of Engagement (Edward), and Alias (Nevil), among others. Thornton is also recognized for his stage roles. He is believed to be the only known actor to have played Hamlet in a wheelchair (at the Lillian Theatre in LA in 2000). At the age of 25, Thornton sustained two fractured vertebrae in a rock climbing fall. He is paralyzed from the waist down. Magnum, P.I. airs Mondays at 9 pm on CBS, right after Man with a Plan.
