ARKEG was an arcade game machine that doubled as a beer tap. “Drink n’ Game” was the ARKEG tagline as users could play dozens of arcade games while pouring a cool one from the tap. A kegerator sat inside the machine and kept the beer cold. Arkeg came with more than 60 games including all-time classics like Asteroids and Mortal Kombat II, among other faves.
The obstacle for most was the price tag: $4000. The two entrepreneurs behind ARKEG, Brant Myers and Dan Grimm from San Luis Obispo, California, pitched their business on Shark Tank in January 2013. They went into the Tank seeking an investment of $100,000 in exchange for 33 percent equity but, alas, did not get a deal.
Two years after the Shark Tank episode aired, ARKEG went out of business. The entire business was put up for sale for $11,500 which included one complete ARKEG machine and the parts to make eight more.

In 2016, Daymond John invested $100,000 in the digital pinball machine company VPcabs. John has it listed as one of his Top 5 Shark Tank deals. Later that year, Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner invested $2 million in Fizzics (SEE LINK ABOVE), a personal beer dispenser. New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 9 pm on ABC.
