Fizzics is a personal beer dispenser that enhances the head and flavor of any bottled or canned beer. The inventors of Fizzics, Phil Petracca and David McDonald of Wall, New Jersey, pitched their business on Shark Tank in September 2016. In an episode where all six Sharks were present, Fizzics convinced two of them — Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner — to offer an investment of $2 million in exchanged for 16.67 percent equity. They went into the Tank seeking $500,000 for 4 percent.
Since Shark Tank, Fizzics rolled out its “cheaper, smaller, and easier to use” Waytap which recently won an award at Fast Company’s “Innovation By Design” 2017 competition. Fizzics reports that “through an investment from frogVentures, we have an exciting pipeline of consumer products which are currently in development.” The company is also working with craft breweries to install Fizzics commercial tap systems on site.
