In The Kids Are Alright episode “Christmas 1972”, when Peggy’s (Mary McCormack) successful brother, Tom, drops in for Christmas, her husband Mike (Michael Cudlitz) immediately oozes with jealousy. After Tom gives the Clearys an extravagant Christmas gift, pride prevents Mike from taking it – putting him at odds with the rest of the family.
