On the I Feel Bad episode “My Kids Barely Know Their Culture,” Emet (Sarayu Blue) sends her parents on a casino vacation so they’re not around when her in-laws come for Hanukkah. When that plan backfires, Emet’s mother Maya (Madhur Jaffrey) sets out to win a “culture war” with David’s (Paul Adelstein) parents — Max (Alfred Molina) and Irene (Caroline Aaron).

Caroline Aaron, who plays David’s mother Irene, is currently starring in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Shirley Maisel, SEE LINK ABOVE). She’s also known for her roles on Episodes (Linda), Transparent (Judy), and in a variety of films including 21 Jump Street (Jonah Hill’s mother Annie Schmidt), Primary Colors (Lucille Kaufman), Edward Scissorhands (Marge), and in four Woody Allen films — Alice (Sue), Crimes and Misdemeanors (Barbara), Deconstructing Harry (Doris), and Husbands and Wives — among others.
Fun fact: Aaron made her debut in Robert Altman’s 1982 film Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean. I Feel Bad airs Thursdays at 9:30 pm on NBC, right after Will & Grace and right before Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
